Fracture Clinic on Tilley
"Opening in July 2022"
We provide an efficient and convenient alternative to the hospital-based public clinic to work around your busy schedule and save your time. Our team of Trauma specialist Doctors and Physiotherapists will manage your injury, apply plasters or splints and refer on to other specialists as needed, communicating the whole plan with your GP.
The Fracture clinic on Tilley is managed by Dr Jonathan Negus, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Luke Kane, Exercise Physiologist, both Directors of Jointworks at 10 Tilley Lane.
We all believe that patients should be given the option of high-quality private service that reduces the load on the busy public fracture clinic managed by the Northern Beaches Hospital.

One fee for all.
There is a $350 fee to attend the clinic and this covers 2 consultations and all routine splints and casts* and any further imaging required (from NBH imaging dept.)

IMAGING
We will organise any necessary additional imaging prior to your visit if possible.
We recommend imaging through the Northern Beaches Hospital imaging department which is just across the road.
REDUCED WAIT
We provide easy, rapid access to a timed appointment where you will be seen and managed within 45 minutes of your booked time.
DOCTORS
Your care will be managed by a musculoskeletal specialist doctor.
ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS
All clinics are overseen by one of our orthopaedic consultants. If they are of the opinion that your case needs a referral to a sub-specialist surgeon, we will organise that for you.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Our physios are trained plaster technicians who can apply and remove all plasters as well as fit custom splints for hand and wrist injuries. They will advise you on the best rehabilitation options for your case.
ABOUT US
We specialise in looking after and treating injuries including broken bones and ligament ruptures. You will be seen by our team of trauma-trained Doctors and physiotherapists who work together to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate your injury.
We value your time and so our aim is to complete all necessary treatment within 45 minutes of your appointment time. We have free onsite parking and disabled access for those on crutches or in chairs.
The most common way patients come to see us is through a referral from the Emergency Department or their GP who will have managed the injury initially. Unlike the Public fracture clinic, your GP can refer you directly to the Fracture Clinic on Tilley.
We will have our specialists check the diagnosis and management plan before leaving the team to complete any therapy and let you get on your way while we write to your GP and let them know the plan.
We may need further x-rays, Ultrasound scans, CT scans or MRI scans to diagnose or check on your progress. We work closely with Northern Beaches Hospital imaging to ensure you have rapid access to a bulk billed service which then allows us to treat you more efficiently.
Appointments
You can book into the next available clinic and our team will then look through your referral and triage your case and contact you to confirm the date and organise a specific time within your chosen time window. This is done to make sure the clinic is as organised and efficient as possible to ensure you are treated as efficiently as possible.
You have the option of booking into the Public Orthopaedic fracture clinic at Northern Beaches Hospital. They run on Monday afternoon and Friday mornings. You need to be referred through the Emergency Department (your GP cannot refer you directly) and you should be prepared for a waiting time of up to 4 hours.
Alternatively, you can organise separate appointments with specific Orthopaedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists through your GP.
